Btech Admission Procedure -

Eligibility

For admission to first year of B Tech, candidate must have passed intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board securing minimum 60 percent marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST) in compulsory (Physics and Mathematics) and optional subjects (Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, Computer Science).

The admission test is open to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents ( mother or father) are domiciles of UP and 10%  of total sanctioned seats shall be filled on Merit by All India Level Candidates subject to the eligibility conditions prescribed by SEE- MTU. If the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside of U.P., he/she has to produce domicile certificate of his/her parents (Mother OR Father only) at the time of counseling.

The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) are also eligible to appear in SEE-MTU subject to the condition that they must fulfill the eligibility criterion at the time of counseling.

Direct Admission (Lateral Entry) to second year (for Diploma Holders and BSC Graduates)

For admission to second year( lateral entry) of B Tech, the candidate must have passed three years Diploma in Engineering course, securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate or three years BSc degree with Mathematics as one subject, securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Such candidates are also required to appear in the specified paper of entrance examination.

Such seats are limited to a maximum of 20% in addition to the sanctioned intake in different courses at first year level.

State Entrance Examination

The admissions to the B.Tech First year would be made on the basis of State Entrance Examination (SEE) conducted by Central Admission Board (CAB), Mahamaya Technical University, Noida.

Selection Criteria

Admission to the B.Tech 1st Year is made through an entrance test and the eligibility criteria for admission is according to norms laid down by UPSEE-2012

 Admission Criterion for MBA Program 

The following criteria as promulgated by AICTE/University are applicable for students to get admission in MBA program at DIT School of Business,Greater Noida.

(a)Admission to 85% of approved seats will be taken based on the result of UPSEE-2011 through centralized counseling conducted by Mahamaya Technical University(MTU),Noida.The eligibility criteria is recognised Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration and obtained 50%marks(45%marks in case of candidates belonging to reserve category) at the qualifying examination.(b)Admission to Management Quota of 15% of approved seats will be taken on merit basis through Institute level counselling as per the criteria of the University.1.Eligibility: Recognized Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration and obtained 50%marks at the qualifying examination.

Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the Bachelors Degree also eligible to apply.2.Procedure:
(i)Registration-Registration can be done at the campus, at Dehradun campus or online on Website.
(ii)Counselling-After the date of registration, candidate will be called for merit basis counseling. The merit for counseling will be in the following preference;* Rank in UPSEE-2011 Examination
* MAT/CAT/XAT Score/percentile
* Any other equivalent examination.

Library

A Library is the nerve centre of learning in the Institute as it acts as the nucleus for the well-balanced collection of books, journals and periodicals in various fields of Engineering & Management. It forms an extremely important part of the institute and hence special attention is given for its developmental growth. The library is committed to offer rapid response to meet the needs of a growing student and faculty community.The library is well equipped and stocked with books, journals and magazines relevant to Engineering & Management discipline.

At present the library contains more than 20,000 volumes of publications including textbooks, reports and proceedings, a fine collection of dictionaries, thesaurus, encyclopedia, handbooks, standards and data compilations and 81 national / international journals in the fields of computers, electrical, electronics and instrumentation, information technology and business management. The DIT Library is also subscribing 36 different magazines and more than 250 online technical journals through AICTE-INDEST (Indian National Digital Library in Engineering Science and Technology) consortium of various disciplines.

Computer Centre

The Computer Centre is equipped with 250 network ready HP Compaq Deskpro machines. This facility is being upgraded to 670 systems shortly. The entire system works in a Microsoft Windows environment. All machines are connected to various peripherals like printers, scanners etc. through the network. The centre is open round the clock.

The department also offers its facilities to various other departments for engineering courses viz. Computer Programming and Application Development. Students are made familiar with various software packages like AutoCAD, Matlab, Oracle 11g, Pspice, Visual Prolog etc, to enable them utilize the knowledge of these packages into their day-to-day engineering applications.

Most of the assignments given to the students have real world applications to enable them understand the importance of engineering in every sphere of life.

Cafeteria

The Institute has spicy and heigenic dining area that caters to the students and the faculty. The Facility is properly equipped with all necessary kitchen equipment and serves the fresh snacks and meal and chilled beverages and ice-cream. Breakfat and Lunch are served at the cafeteria on a prepaid basis at the reasonable rates. The Cafeteria is managed by all the professional team and all the operation are overlooked by dietician.
